The staff were friendly, making me feel right at home, especially Orlando's cute attitude.

The bathroom layout was unusual, requiring you to step over the toilet to take a shower, inconvenient.

Fairly clean, luxury hotel with really kind staff and cheap rooms. The rooms with 2 separate beds. Nice interior design. Great and awesome location relatively close to a vast pedestrianized public square. Walking distance to main tourist attractions, like a museum and a gallery.

My honest journey to loving this

The communal area provides helpful amenities like a microwave and water filter, offering a lovely way to connect with other guests. The kind receptionist was really good.

The room size could be tricky for large families, and daily new towels, while clean, felt unnecessary after just brief visits.

The knowledgeable staff

The lift wasn't working and we were not informed of this before we arrived. We were staying on the fourth floor and the stairs were extrememely steep. Mum and I had to lug our bags up the flights of stairs with no help from the staff. They just said 'I hope you're feeling strong' and gave us our key. It was quite dangerous as we nearly fell. The lift won't be working for another 12 months they said.

Beds were very small.

The room was cozy, but the walls were too thin, letting in noise.

The booking stated breakfast included there was no breakfast or facilities for such we did ask for extra beds which were not put in the rooms and the price was more expensive without the breakfast.

The spacious entrance area with access to cold water and a fridge was a great bonus after a day of exploring and the friendly service I received from the staff.

Hostal Cervantes blends charm with convenience. The location shines, just a 6-minute walk from the Prado Museum, right in a lively neighborhood that echoes with culture. I loved the spacious and super clean Double Room. It maxed out on cleanliness with a simple yet functional bathroom. The cute attitude of Orlando. He even let me drop off my bag since I got there early. The communal area with cold water and a fridge was a nice touch too. Despite being called a hostal, it offered plenty of amenities like great Wi-Fi and easy access to public transport. It felt a bit cramped, especially for families. It wasn't a deal-breaker since the second floor is quite manageable. I was surrounded by so many options for eating and drinking. A fantastic bakery right around the corner, an absolute delight. For anyone looking for a blend of affordability and quality, this place is a gem.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The small street on which it stands is connected to various others that lead to the different attractions of Madrid - making them an easy walk away. The senor at the reception was very accomodating and tried his best to communicate with us despite the language barrier.

The shower stall is small although manageable. The floors of the room could use some additional sweeping...
